Brooks ReStart is a new program offering Brooks customers a more sustainable and affordable way to purchase products in a circular commerce model. It’s an opportunity for Brooks and its customers to have a positive impact on the environment by finding new homes for lightly-used shoes - before they've run their last mile!

We want to make Brooks ReStart products accessible to the largest group of customers we can at fair and consistent prices, not provide inventory for personal resale businesses. If it comes to our attention that you are purchasing from Brooks ReStart to resell the items, you will be asked to stop, and may be blocked from future transactions with Brooks ReStart. At our discretion, we may follow-up with the websites that you are using for these transactions.

Are Brooks ReStart products available outside the U.S.?

Brooks ReStart is not available outside the US at this time.

Trove is our service provider partner, managing web development, item fulfillment, logistics, and customer support for the Brooks ReStart initiative. Further details can be found on the Brooks ReStart website.

An order confirmation email will be sent within 10 minutes after placing an order. If not found, please check your spam folder and other inbox filters. For email issues or further inquiries, contact ReStart Customer Service via email.

When your order is placed, we put a temporary authorization hold for the full order amount on your card. Once your order ships, we will capture the charge and the temporary authorization will drop off within one or two business days, depending on your bank. The charge on your statement will show up as a charge from Brooks SP* Brooks ReStart.

Why is there an item order limit?

To keep shipping costs low for our Brooks reStart customers, we have to limit the amount of items we can ship in a single package.

We can retroactively refund your state sales tax if provided a copy of your valid State-issued Certificate of Tax Exemption. Please contact our Customer Service team for tax exemption requests.

Known shipping delays (when applicable)

Orders may be delayed due to measures put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Weather delays and other unforeseen shipping circumstances may also impact delivery time. Please allow an extra 10 days for your package to arrive.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship to all 50 US States and APO/FPO addresses. We cannot ship to US Territories or International countries at this time. Please note that we cannot provide customer support, including returns and exchanges, for orders that are shipped outside the US through 3rd party international shipping vendors.

Combining multiple orders

Once your order is placed, it immediately begins the journey through our fulfillment center. We process each order separately, and cannot combine multiple orders.

Can I change my shipping address?

Yes, we can process an address change within 30 minutes of placing the order. Please contact our Customer Service team for address change requests.

Can my order ship to an APO/FPO?

Yes, we can ship to APO/FPO addresses.

When will I receive my order?

Orders are typically shipped from our distribution center within 2-4 business days, and usually arrive 5-7 business days later. Once your order ships, we’ll send a shipping confirmation email that contains the tracking information for your package. Please note that estimated arrival dates are not guaranteed.

How much is shipping?

Standard shipping is $5. Oversize shipping charges may apply to certain items, and will be indicated on the product page. Please note that some orders will incur State and/or Local Sales tax on the shipping charge, if applicible by state law. Shipping fees and associated shipping sales tax are non-refundable.

What carriers do you ship with?

We ship with FedEx and USPS depending on the package size and destination. We are unable to select a preferred carrier for your order.

There are three condition levels – Like New, Great and Good. See below for more information on each level. Like New: This product has barely been worn, with no visible signs of wear. Great: Lightly worn. Minimal signs of wear may be visible. Good: Visible signs of wear, but still plenty of miles left to run.

Are products cleaned before being sold?

All Brooks ReStart shoes are professionally cleaned before they leave our distribution centers. Most items are cleaned without water, utilizing CO2 technology by Tersus Solutions. 98% of the liquefied CO2 is reclaimed in the process and they come out clean and with fewer impacts on our natural resources compared to home laundering. In addition to using liquid CO2 rather than water in its process, the closed-loop nature of the Tersus technology allows microfibers to be captured within the system rather than flushing microfibers into our waterways.

How do Brooks ReStart products differ from Brooks products?

Brooks ReStart products are Brooks items that come from our closets. Some shoes have been lightly-used by customers and others were on shelves in our distribution center – they are functionally perfect but may have a cosmetic flaw. Putting these shoes back into use avoids both the landfill and the need to make new products! Most Brooks reStart products are cleaned using CO2 which saves water and energy compared to conventional cleaning methods.

What do I do if I sent the wrong item?

Unfortunately, Brooks ReStart is not liable for Non-Brooks items and regretfully cannot assist in sending these back to you. Please be sure you are using the correct shipping label and check the contents of your package before sending us your Returns.

How do I return my Brooks ReStart items?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. Start your return through our returns portal, ensuring to include the return authorization email in your return package. Attach the provided shipping label to the outside of your package. Due to COVID-19 precautions, allow 15-20 days for return processing. Your patience is appreciated.

How much does my return label cost?

To keep Brooks ReStart products affordably priced, we charge for shipping both ways. Using our provided label incurs a $5 shipping cost deduction from your return. Alternatively, you can use a carrier of your choice, shipping to the specified returns address.

When will I get my refund?

Refunds are processed as soon as your items are received and reviewed at our warehouse. Refunds can only be issued to the original method of payment. It may take your bank up to 7 business days to credit the refund to your account.

Can I combine returns from multiple orders?

Yes, you can combine multiple returns as long as you initiate each one in the returns portal, and include all return confirmation printouts in the package. You will need to purchase postage directly from the carrier of your choice, rather than using the shipping label attached to the return confirmation emails. This will ensure you are refunded for items from each order!

How do I make an Exchange?

Exchanges are made in two steps: returning and re-ordering. Please initiate your return in our returns portal and then order the replacement item through our website. You will be charged for the new item at the time of the order, and refunded for the returned item once your return is received and processed. Please note that shipping will be charged for new orders and returns. You are welcome to wait until your return has been processed and refunded before making the replacement purchase if that is more convenient. Keep in mind, inventory moves quickly, especially during holidays and sale times, so we encourage you to re-order sooner rather than later to avoid missing out

Can I use my Brooks membership incentives on Brooks ReStart purchases?

Any Brooks related promotions and/or discounts cannot be applied to Brooks ReStart purchases.

Pricing on Brooks ReStart inventory can differ from pricing on new Brooks inventory in the same style category based on factors like year/season produced, popularity, size, color, as well as sales/promotions on the main Brooks site. Please note that promotional pricing on the Brooks site does not carry over to the one-of-a-kind items in the Brooks ReStart program.

What about the environmental impact of shipping goods?

Although there are environmental impacts of shipping items, shipping is not the major contributor to a product's carbon footprint or lifecycle impacts. The environmental savings of keeping a product in use (compared to manufacturing a new one) outweighs the impact of shipping it.
